The Sunray above ground pool is our newest economy pool. It's competitive price, durability and easy installation make it the perfect choice for families getting their first pool. The Sunray comes from Wilbar, one of America's top above ground pool manufacturers and features strong steel construction, including a 3 inch top rail and uprights. The top rail is high-pressure stamped from steel with integrated ribbing for extra rigidity and a curved profile that creates a smooth transition from one post to the next, culminating in an even, circular top rail all around the pool. Each post and rail joint is then completed with a color-matched, one piece ledge cover that snaps right over the rail for a pleasing, sophisticated look. The entire frame is finished in a beautiful pearl color and topped with Texture Kote, a super durable enamel that protects the steel against corrosion from pool chemicals and harsh UV rays. The Sunray pool's 48 inch tall wall is corrugated for maximum strength and rigidity and finished with an attractive sand colored protective coating that contrasts subtly with the pearl frame and gives the pool a clean, polished design while fortifying the steel against rust.
Sunray oval above ground pools are some of the first to utilize a slight inward curve at the long sides for a more interesting and stronger wall. Most above ground pools are not compatible with saltwater because it can cause corrosion to the pool wall and frame. In fact, several manufacturers specifically exclude salt damage from their warranties for this reason.
However, this pool is entirely salt approved! That's because the materials and coatings on this particular above ground pool are so durable they can easily resist the corrosive effects of salt water, and the manufacturer has updated their policy to allow salt water to be used in this pool without voiding the warranty.
